Wentworthville Presbyterian Church

The Carlingford-Wentworthville Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbytery of Western Sydney. The church has three congregations, located across two sites. One is at Wentworthville and the other Carlingford [meets in the Roselea Primary School, 549 North Rocks Road]. The first Wentworthville Presbyterian Church was a small weatherboard building located at 59 Railway Street. It was opened by the Moderator, The Right Rev Thomas Morgan on 9/11/1912. The present church building site, in McKern Street, was purchased in 1926, and the old St Andrew's Presbyterian Church building (erected 1840-49) in Church Street, Parramatta was moved and re-erected on the site. The re-erected building was opened and dedicated by the Interim Moderator , the Rev J Patterson, on 24/11/1928. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
