Foundation Stone Notes: | (Sydney Morning Herald - 29 December 1881) "The ceremony of laying the foundation-stone of St. Mark's Church, Ermington, was performed on December 17, by Mrs. R. R. Terry, of Denniston, the service being Conducted by the Rev. H. H. Britten, in the presence of a large number of attendants. The edifice when completed will be cruciform, but only so much of it will be proceeded with as present necessities demand. The site, which is a most eligible one, is the joint gift of Mr. M. M. Betts and Mrs. Marsden." The text of the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited. |
