The St Mary's Catholic Church, Crookwell is in the Parish of Crookwell and part of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn. The original church  building was opened and blessed by Bishop William Lanigan on 19/4/1891. A porch was added in 1929. Major alterations were carried out in the early 1950s to lengthen the nave to hold 200 more parishioners, this was completed in 1953. On 5/1/1958 the church building was gutted by fire, but rebuilt and re-opened and blessed on 22/11/1959 by Archbishopp Eris O'Brien. The church celebrated its centenary on 19/20 April 1991. The convent was built at the same time as church. Sisters came from Ireland in 1859 to establish the convent and school, with the Sisters finally leaving the convent in 1993. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 5/6/2018.
