Foundation stone records: This stone was laid - to the - Glory of God - by - John Wilson McClintock - 10th June 1936 - Rev C T F Goy, Minister.

The foundation stone of the first church building was laid by Mr John McClintock on 6/3/1884.

[Mr CcClintock's father had laid the foundation stone of the earlier Adams and Copoer Streets church building. The laying of the stone was made in the presence of the State Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, the Right Rev C E Turnbull].

The Cootamundra Uniting Church is part of the Regional Partnership - Riverina and the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The present church building (former Prersbyterian which was opened on 16/12/1936), replaced an earlier church building, which had been built fifty years earlier, and had become inadequate for the growing congregation. The church celebrated the seventy fifth anniversary on 11/6/2011 of the laying of the foundation stone and erection of the present church building.
