The Denham Court Anglican Church was founded on 24/3/1838. The church building, "was originally built in 1838 as a private chapel in memory of Richard and Christina Brooks of 'Denham Court'. Richard Brooks died in 1833 having been gored by a bull. Christina died shortly after in 1835. The building was erected over their graves...It was completed by the Brook's daughter, Christina Blomfield. It was consecrated on August 25, 1838 by Bishop Broughton..."1 A cemetery adjoins the church building, and contains pioneer graves from about 1817. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 20/8/2020.
