The St John's Presbyterian Church, Muswellbrook is in the Presbytery of The Hunter and part of the Presbyterian Church in the State of New South Wales. The present St John's Presbyterian Church & Hall was erected 1913-1915 and opened on 3/6/1915. The original/former St John's Presbyterian Church building was erected in 1843, and is located higher up the hill in Hill Street, and is now used as part of Dunmore Lang Christian School. The church centenary was from 1843 - 1943, but celebrations were not held until 1945.  More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/4/2015.

(The Muswellbrook Chronicle - 5 June 1915)   "NEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. Muswollbrook's new Presbyterian Church (St. John's) was opened on Thursday after noon by the Right Rev. R. Scott-West, Moderator of the State Assembly."

The building is now also used by Hope City Church, which is a member of Australian Christian Churches.
