A plaque on the chapel records: Saint Augustine's Chapel - Built 1938 ~ 1844 - Restored 1987 ~ 1988 - Officially opened on 28th August, 1988 - The restoration of this bulding has been - made possible by financial assistance of - Parishioners, the N S W Government, and - the Australia Bicentennial authority, acting - on the recommendation of the Heritage - Council of N S W. A plaque on the church wall beside a sculpture of St Augustine records: St Augustine of Hippo (354~430 AD) - In loving memory of - Mick and Joan Darmody - and - Archbishop Guildford Young, DD - The Great Friend of the Darmody Family - and Founder of this Church - Requiescant in Pace - Kindly donated by - The Darmody Family - and Tom Bass, Sculptor - 28th August, 2004 ~ Feast of Saint Augustine |

The original Church is now the 'Chapel". The Chapel was restored in 1988. On April 29th 1956 Dr Guilford Young opened the current church. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/9/2017.
