The Jindalee Wesleyan Methodist Church closed some years ago (may have been Uniting at the time of closure) and the property was sold (1995?). The church had its beginnings about 1872, when Mrs Hobbs a storekeeper invited people to her kitchen for services conducted by the Rev W H George. Mrs Hobbs later donated land for a chuch building, and together with funds from her and her son a church building was opened in 18751. Little detail of its subsequent development are known, except that by 1907 it was in poor repair and that centenary celebrations were held in 1975. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 14/10/2024.
