The former St Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Jamberoo has now closed, and the property was sold in June 2009.
(The Kiama Independent - 3 February 1876) "PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, JAMBEROO THE service and demonstration in connection with the opening of the new Presbyterian Church, at Jamberoo, took place on the 26th ultimo, the anniversary day of the colony, and consisted in a religious service and sermon by Dr. White, of Sydney".
The former St Stephen's Presbyterian Church was designed in the Norman style by local citizen, James Colley.
Early Presbyterian services were held at the property of Dr Robert Menzies from about 1939, shortly after his arrival in the district. The church building was opened in 1876, but services ceased in 1970. It was re-opened in 1971, and restored for its centenary in 1976. Services finally ceased in 2001.
No other details are known about the former church. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 8/4/2018 & 13/5/2021..
