Comments

The former Katoomba Uniting Church has closed (2024), with the buildings are now used by Junction 142, a social welfare activity of Leura Uniting Church and the community. The first Methodist service in the area was conducted by the Rev G C Percival on 27/5/1888, in a local hall. The erection of a brick church building began very shortly thereafter, and was opened on 9/11/1888. A new front portion was added to the original church building in 1906/7, and remains the front of the present church building. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 31/10/2019 & 31/3/2020 & 7/12/2025.
