The former St Andrew's Catholic Church Laggan has closed, and the property has been sold (2022). The church had been part of the Parish of Crookwell and the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The former church building was blessed and opened on 21/6/1925, by Dr Barry. It replaced an earlier church building, which had been located on another site, near the St Andrew's Catholic cemetery, and had been opened on 26/3/1865, by the Rev Fr McAlroy. This building, from 1866, was also used, for a period, as a school. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
