The building was erected as a Union Church in 1876. Services were held alternately by Presbyterian and Anglican ministers for around 40 years. It was eventually taken over by the Presbyterian Church and renamed 'Scots Church".
In 1926, to celebrate 50 years of use, a porch was added. The church remained a Presbyterian Church until 22/6/1977, when the Congregational, the Methodist, and the Presbyterian Churches combined to form the Uniting Church in Australia.
It closed in 1984. The buildings were subsequently renovated and are now used by the Uniting and Catholic communities for services.
More historical information/photographs of the church/congregations are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/9/2017.
