Foundation Stone Notes: | (Sydney Morning Herald - 20 July 1870) "LUDDENHAM is situated some five miles from Penrith, and in the centre of an agricultural district, and Wednesday the 13th July, has been anxiously looked forward to, and will long be remembered as the day on which the foundation stone of the church was laid." (Sydney Morning Herald - 9 August 1871) "July 25. St. James's Church, Luddenham, was opened by the Very Hon. Dean of Sydney. The offertory on the occasion amounted to £10 10s. The service was followed by a luncheon served in a booth erected for the occasion, and in the evening a public meeting was held. The church is calculated to accommodate about 110 persons."

The St James' Anglican Church, Luddenham is part of the Parish of Glenmore Park and Mulgoa and the Diocese of Sydney.
