The former Mortlake Congregational Church, Mortlake building no longer exists.
'The Congregationalists were the first Christian denomination to worship in Mortlake. In 1879 the Congregational Church established a Mission and Sunday School on the Yaralla Estate. In the mid 1880s this Mission moved to Tennyson Road, Mortlake, then the centre of a small village. Congregationalists from Burwood provided the funds to build a church in 1887; the remnants of which are clearly visible today at 119 Tennyson Road.'1
No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
