A plaque records: This Church was consecrated by - The Archbishop of Sydney - The Most Reverend - Sir Marcus Loane DD KBE - 20th March 1977 - A cylinder containing old church records was - placed-in the ground by The Archbishop - This marks the completion of a project begun - as a result of the faith and vision of the Late Rev Keith Gowan. Comments
The St Luke's Anglican Church, Miranda is in the Parish of Miranda and the Diocese of Sydney. The present church building was opened on 21/3/1971 by the Archbishop of Sydney, M L Loane, and replaced an earlier weatherboard structure erected/opened in 1899, which no longer met the needs of the larger congregation.
