The former Ladysmith Uniting Church is now closed, and the property has been sold. Services had been held from at least the late 1880s in Alfredtown (now Ladysmith), with the first church building opened on 15/6/1890 by the Rev William Weston. This church closed and the building was sold about 1910. Services in Ladysmith began again about 1926, in a local hall, and these continued until a redundant church building was relocated from Forest Hill, and opened on 13/12/1959, by the Rev E A Bennett. The Forest Hill building had been opened there about 1897. Although land had been donated about 1926 for a church in Ladysmith by Mr Thomas H Brunskill, it was not used until the relocated church building was opened in 1959. This church appears to have closed in the late 1990s. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 25/6/2021.
