The former St Mary's Catholic Church, Mogo closed, and the property was sold about 1980. It was the second church building on the site, as the first, built about 1867, was destroyed by fire at the turn of the century. It was rebuilt with donations from the community, The new church building was opened about 1915. This church closed, and the building became privately owned in 1980. This building was unfortunately destroyed in the 2019/20 bushfires. It has now been rebuilt, using original drawings, and is a replica of the original church building. It was opened in September 2021, the rebuilding having been funded by grants, donations and gofundme.com. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
