The Rye Park Uniting Church is part of the Yass Parish and the Canberra Region Presbytery of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. Land for a chapel and cemetery was donated by Mr Alfred Bembrick, a pioneer settler, and the first church building, a wooden structure, was erected in 1866. This was replaced by a brick building in 1878. To meet the needs of the growing congregation the present church building was erected. It was opened on 22/10/1927 by the Rev G E Johnson, Chairman of the District1. A small cemetery adjoins the church. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/10/2024.
