The Ramsgate Community Church, formerly the Ramsgate Methodist Church, began in 1915. The first service was held in its wooden church building on 17/7/1915, the Rev G W Payne was the minister. The present brick building was opened on 3/5/1924. With a growing congregation and Sunday School many additions and alterations were made to the properties over the years. On 22/6/1977 the church became the Ramsgate Uniting Church, when the Uniting Church was formed. In 1996 the Carlton Uniting congregation merged with Ramsgate and on 27/2/2005 the new Church Centre was opened and dedicated. [Sourced from: https://ramsgatechurch.wordpress.com/history/].
