The Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney was established in 1966, and met to worship for the first time on 12/5/1966, in the Nerumbern Congregational Church. On 24/10/1973 the congregation formally became part of the Congregational Union. With the formation of the Uniting Church, the Armenian Evangelical Church automatically became part of it. In 1984 the congregation moved to its present location, formerly the site of the South Willoughby Uniting Church. A new church building was erected and dedicated on 10/11/1996. The church is now also a member of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East. [Sourced from: https://willoughbyarmenian.uca.org.au/about-us/].
