The Darwin Memorial Uniting Church, is part of The Pilgrim Presbytery of Northern Australia and the Uniting Church Northern Synod. The present church building was opened on 23/7/1960. Prior to joining the Uniting Church in 1977, the church was known as the United Church, a multi-denominational church since 15/5/1946, consisting of Congregational, Presbyterian and Methodist congregations. The church has had a continuing congregation worshipping here since 1873, when a Methodist congregation was started in co-operation with the Congregational Church, in premises at the corner of Knuckey and Mitchell Streets. A Korean congregation also currently uses the church building. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 27/5/2024.
