Comments
As early as July 1929 plans were being made to construct a church building in Amamoor. This involved many fund raising efforts. Land was eventually purchased in September 1933 and the church was opened on 13/9/1935. The church celebrated 50 years of Christian witness in 1985. A small booklet, "50 Years - Amamoor ~ Kandanga - 1935 ~ 1985" records in very warm terms the history of this little church. This is well captured in its dedication: With adoration and thanksgiving to God. To devoted and faithful souls of the past. To the people of today who are preparing for the challenge of the future. We dedicate this book to the extension of the kingdom of God.
