Record of email received 9/4/2025 from Yvonne Bakker: ' Ashgrove, Gospel Hall Assembly - Former I attended the Sunday School here from around 1961 to 1974. I loved it there, the Pastor was Rev Cruikshank & the Harris family were very prominent in the church.. Miss Jean Russell would pick me up from my home in The Gap each Sunday morning & drive me home. We would sit on the pews & sing beautiful worship songs, have a sermon from the Pastor & then split into our instruction classes. My teacher was Mrs. Collier. I loved the family atmosphere & learnt so many stories from the Bible which remain in my heart to this day. I was saddened to see that it has been sold to a private owner & that it is no longer a house of worship. I have so many happy memories from my childhood there & received so much love from the congregation. I no longer live in Queensland but I often wonder what has become of everyone who attended. I would love to see any photos or hear from those who were there during that time. It was a very lovely experience & childhood being a part of this church that will remain in my heart forever. Blessings to all 🙏🏽 Yvonne Bakker'.
