The Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Capella was built in 1907. From about 1901 Anglican services had been held in the district and a church was needed. On Easter Monday 1907 a ceremony to set the corner block of a wooden building was held. The Rev Kenny conducted a short service and Mrs Lucy Stuart placed the block. The church building was opened in October 1907 by the Ven G Herbert Rogers, Archdeacon of the Diocese of Rockhampton.
On 28/10/2007 a centenary celebration was held, attended by the Rt Rev Godfrey Fryar, Bishop of Rockhampton. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/4/2020.
