"Glamorgan Vale. Nov 11..About a year after the first settlers began falling the scrub, building their homes, and preparing the land they had taken up at Glamorgan Vale in 1869, one of the pioneers, Mr Thomas Pratt arranged for a monthly church service in his home, conducted by a preacher from Ipswich".
