Comments

The Morningside Methodist Church was opened on 31/3/1902, with the first service conducted by the Rev Dr Robert Stewart. From about 1900 local Christians had met in private homes on Sunday afternoons, for services conducted by the Rev Stead. However, as numbers grew, planning for a church building took shape. Through generous giving and volunteering land was purchased and this building came to fruition. Since then a number of improvements have been undertaken.
