The St David's Presbyterian Church, Mount Lofty 'began as an expansion of St Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Neil Street, when a new Sunday School was opened in Geoffrey Street in 1926. That building was moved to the present site in 1939 and is now our Hall. The foundation stone for a new church was laid by Rt Reverend W R Mackenzie on 12th November, 1949 but services continued to be held in the Hall. The church was finally completed and opened on Saturday, 26th July. 1952 by the State Moderator Rt Reverend M McDermant."1 More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
