Comments
The building of the original Methodist Church began with a meeting held on 8/10/1886, in the home of Mr Thomas Johnston. From there things moved quickly with a site in Skew Street purchased shortly thereafter. A church was erected and opened on 4/9/1887. This building was sold in December 1913, with a new church to be built. The foundation stone for the new church was laid on 13/6/1914, with the church opened on 12/9/2014. Since that time many renovations, improvements and extensions have been made to the 1914 building.
