The present Nambour Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Mary Burnett and the Uniting Church Synod of Queeensland. The present church bulding was previously the St Andrew's Presbyterian Memorial Church, which was opened on 28/6/1958 by the Rev Ballinger, Moderator of the Presbyterian Assembly. It replaced an earlier building erected at 178 Currie Street, Nambour, opened in 1905. The earliest Presbyterian services in the district were held in private homes and the open air, in 1893. St Andrew's became part of the Unting Church in Australia when it was formed on 22/6/1977. In 1984 the St Andrew's and the Maud Street (former Methodist) congregations made the decision to become one congregation meeting in two places. In 1987, after a fire damaged the Maud Street property the two congregations combined for worship at St Andrew's, which was formally named the Nambour Uniting Church.
More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 16/4/2017.
