A plaque records: Ye Old Rectory - The central part of this building was the original church on this site. The foundation stone laid 9~8~1891 can be found under the building. It was converted to a rectory, with verandahs being added to the original structure when the present St Margaret's was opened. The Old Rectory was converted to a parish centre by volunteers from the parish community-especially Mr H (Bill) Spring and Mr Les Rendle in 1990 and 1991. The building was dedicated as - Ye Old Rectory - by The Rt Rev G Browning - on Sunday, 11 August, 1991. Rector ~ Rev G J Peteresen - Wardens ~ Mr P Keates, Mr K Ball, Mrs D Rendle.
