The Zion Hill Mission was located on 650 acres of land reserved by the NSW government, for the mission in what is today called Nundah. The missionaries named the settlemnt Zion Hill - a biblical reference to the place of Christ's return.
This was the first Queensland mission, and was a combination of Lutheran/Presbyterian/Pietist missionaries, with Moravian inspiration. The mission started April/June 1838 and was disbanded in 1848.1.
