The St Paul's Anglican Church, Winton is now part of the co-operating Anglican and Uniting congregation, larger than the state of Victoria, stretching through the legendary channel country and reaching out to Boulia and the the border, and including Bedourie and Corfield. It is also part of the Anglican Church Central Queensland/Diocese of Rockhampton. The first resident minister in Winton was appointed in 1916, with the district serviced by Brother Perry from 1898, supplied by the St Andrew's Bush Brotherhood. The first church building was opened about 1900, but was destroyed by fire in 1925. The present church building was opened about 1927. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 3/8/2024.
