The first St James the Fisherman Anglican Church, Yeppoon building, which stood on the corner of Queen and Mary Streets, Yeppoon was erected in 1911 with funds raised in London at St James Paddington. About one hundred years later, in February 2010, the congregation formally left that site with the deconsecration of the old St James, and moved to the Housden Place site. This site had been owned since the 1950s and had been used for a number of activities. Under the leadershp of the Rev Michael Donaldson plans were developed for the current site including the building of a new manse (2010), car park (2011) and the present building which was completed in 2015. In the entrance is a mosaic depicting loaves and fishes, donated by the Rev M. Donaldson. It was brought back from Jordan, and based on a mosaic in Tabgha by the shore of Lake Galilee, the site of the feeding of the 5000.

Photographs uploaded 7/12/2019.
