Comments
The Ashbourne Community Church is part of the Presbytery of Southern SA and the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The present church building was erected for the Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1891, which became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1900 and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. This church building replaced the Finniss Flat Wesleyan Chapel, which held its final service on 14/6/1891, conducted by the Rev E Barber. [Finniss Flat changed its name to Ashbourne in 1868].
