The former St Nicholas Anglican Church Beachport is now closed, and the property was sold in February 2019. The first service of the St Nicholas church was held on 13/11/1881 by the Rev Rowland Hayward, a Missionary Chaplain. It was held in a small wooden church building which had been relocated from Southend to 9 Railway Terrace. The present church building was erected/opened, at a new site, about 1923, and held its final service and deconsecration on 1/7/2018.
