The former Arthurton Uniting Church is now closed, and the property has been sold (2022). The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The earliest Wesleyan services in the district were held, on an irregular basis, in private homes until the first Wesleyan Chapel was erected/opened about 1876, on a site donated by Mr D Henderson. The present church was erected in 1894 and opened free of debt on 3/2/1895, with the Rev J D Langsford preaching the opening sermon. The church became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1900, and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/5/2022 & 23/3/2025.
