The former Bute Uniting Church is now closed, and the property was sold in April 2022. The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The present church building was opened on 16/11/1902, and replaced an earlier timber framed iron building opened on 15/11/1885. Prior to the erection of this building, Primitive Methodist services had begun about November 1884, in the home of Mr Richard Renfrey jnr. The porch was opened on the present building on 4/12/1955. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 7/5/2022 & 2/3/2025.
