An information board records: St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church - The foundation stone of the Church of England was laid on the 22 May 1913. Originally there was a picket fence with a high picket gate, then a hedge of rosemary and a wire fence at the side. - In 1988 the church celebrated 75 years and the present stone fence was erected as a bi-centenary event, enhancing the building. - The Parish consists of Cowell, Cleve, and Kimba congregations in the Diocese of Willochra. Lock (St Anslem's) was included in the parish in 1990 and the name changed to that of Eastern Eyre Parish by which it is still known today, although the Lock church closed in 2005. The Church of England has been known as the Anglican Church in Australia since 1981. - in 1996, the 3 stained glass windows at the front replaced the opaque glass. Centre window depicts Jesus as the Good Shepherd and the other two are on musical themes, the left one showing a harp and the other a fanfare style trumpet. - St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church stands today as it was built all those years ago - a beautiful architectural feature in the town of Cleve.- 'Let your light so shine before men, that they may see you good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.'
