The Dowlingville Uniting Church, is part of the Generate Presbytery and the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. Early services in the district were held in private homes until the Wesleyan Methodist Church building was opened on 23/11/1879, by the Rev J B Stephenson. The land for the church building was donated by Mr Higginson, with much of the construction carried out by volunteers. The church became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1900, and the Uniting Church in 1977. A church hall was built about 1905. The church celebrated its diamond jubilee in October 19391. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 25/3/2025.
