The former St Gabriel's Catholic Church, Cradock closed in 1970 and was deconsecrated in 1976. The church had been part of the Diocese of Port Pirie. The church building was opened in 1883 and formally dedicated by Bishop Reynolds on 12/7/1885. The church building was revovated/enlarged in 1913/4. For some time after it was closed, the building was used for 'Murder Banquet' evenings but is now abandoned. It may have been for these events that the name "Saint Cecilia" was used. A plaque with this name is still fixed to the church building. No other details are known about the former church.
