The former Koolywurtie Uniting Church is closed, and the property has been sold. The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The church building was opened for the Wesleyan Methodist Church on 20/3/1898 by the Rev J Nairn. It became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1900 and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. At the church anniversary 1937 the newspaper report read: 'the lighting at this church is now electric, and the idea is rather good. Wires and switches have been properly set for five lights. When the lights are required two batteries are brought along by Mr L Tonkin and linked together in series. Two clips are attached to positive and negative, and there you are!1."More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 20/3/2025.
