Foundation Stone Notes: | An information board records: The foundation stone of the former Methodist church was laid on 1st March 1880 and the first service conducted in August 1880. A porch was added in 1901 and regular services continued until 1966. On 8th October 1972 a special 'Centenary of Mannanarie' was held. The building and assests were transferred to the Mannanarie Public hall in 1983. The Mannanarie congregation was originally affiliated with the Yongagl circuit until 1947, then Jamestown/Yongale circuit until 1962 and finally the Jamestown circuit. |

The former Mannanarie Methodist Church ceased holding regular services in 1966, and the property was disposed of in 1983. The present church building was opened for the Primitive Methodist Church on 25/7/1880, and replaced an earlier chapel opened on 16/8/1874.
