The former St Stephan's Lutheran Church, Neales Flat amalgamated with the Trinity Lutheran Church, Neales Flat, to form the Neales Flat Lutheran Church, about 1982, after which the property was sold. (2011?).
Prior to 1966, St Stephan's had been one of three Lutheran churches in Neales Flat, representing differing Lutheran church synod affiliations. After 1966 and the amalgamation of two Lutheran Synods to form the Lutheran Church of Australia, St Stephan's became a member of the Lutheran Church of Australia, although it remained a separate congregation until it amalgamated with the Trinity. The St Stephan's congregation began about 1871, meeting in private homes, until their church building was dedicated on 20/9/1874. A porch was added in 1924. The St Stephan's Lutheran Cemetery is located nearby, on the opposite side of the road. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
