A plaque records: Point Pass Immanuel - Church - The first Lutheran families arrived in the district in 1868 worshipping in homes until 1871 when the first church building was built where the present Sunday School rooms stand. The present church was dedicated on 9 April 1876 and the first Paster (J M Stolz) and his family lived in the vestry of the church until the manse was built in 1878. The bell tower was added in 1913 to accommodate the beautiful bronze bell weighjing 524 kilograms imported from Germany in March 1912. The Lemke pipe organ was installed in 1876. The new church hall was dedicated in 1999.

The Immanuel Lutheran Church, Point Pass, is in the Eudunda Robertstown Lutheran Parish and the Lutheran District of SA-NT and part of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The first church building was dedicated on Ascension Day 1871 (18/5/1871). The present church building was opened on 9/4/1876, and replaced the earlier building.
