It has the roof ridge decoration and porch beneath a triangular window, which were Father Norton's design signature. - The first mass was celebrated in the church on Christmas Day 1890. - The extensive alterations and additions began in 1916 and were blessed and opened in 1917. - In 1970 alterations were made to the sanctuary and in recent years the church has been re-roofed, the walls have been re-pointed, interior painted, carpet laid and the floors polished. - This place of worship is one of the town's most imposing structures and reflects much credit to the architect.

The St Anacletus Catholic Church, Peterborough is part of the Booleroo Centre Parish and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The present church building held its first Mass on Christmas Day 1890, replacing an earlier 1884 building.  When it became the Pro-Cathedral for the Diocese of Port Augusta in 1916, it was extensively expanded. However, when the Diocese was moved to Port Pirie, the building reverted to be the St Anacletus  parish church. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 30/5/2022 & 3/11/2024.
