The former Parkside Uniting Church closed about 1990, and the property was then sold. The building was erected as a Primitive Methodist Chapel in 1879. It became part of the Methodist Church in the early 1900s and a part of the Uniting Church in 1977. No other details are known. on Young Street, Parkside, this Church was built in 1879 as a Primitive Methodist Chapel. It was designed by architect Thomas Parker in the early Gothic style and built from Mitcham brownstone with white stone dressings. The contractor was J.L. Cassidy. See B 21162 for view taken in 1970.
