The former St Ailbe's Catholic Church, Paruna is now closed, and the property has been sold. The first Catholic Masses in the Paruna district were held about 1916, when Father M McNamara rode on horseback from the Pinnaroo area. Services were held in private homes until the Institute building was erected. Fund raising activities for the construction of a church building were conducted during the 1930s, with the church building opened and dedicated on 19/2/1939. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 2/11/2022.
