The St Thomas More's Catholic Church, Waikerie is part of the Riverland Parish (including Our Lady of the River, Berri; St Therese of the Child Jesus, Renmark; St Francis Xavier's, Barmera; St Alberts, Loxton and St Ursula's, Morgan)) and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The present church building was opened on 13/12/1959 by the Bishop of Port Pirie and replaced an earlier church building opened on 26/7/1936 by the Bishop of Adelaide, the Most Rev Dr Killian. It is now used as the church hall. Prior to the opening of the original church Mass was celebrated in the Institute. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
