The former Yongala Uniting Church (originally a Primitive Methodist Church) closed in the early 1990s and the property was sold. The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. This was the first Primitive Methodist church building in the township, erected about 1876. An earlier church building had been erected in 1874 on a farm about three miles from the town. The present building was used as the combined Methodist church building after the amalgamation of the various Methodist Churches in the early 1900s. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 2/11/2024..
