Foundation Stone Notes:	The foundation stone of the present church building was laid in 1916 by Mrs Wasley. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited. The foundation stone for the hall/kindergarten records: This stone was laid by - W H George Esq - on Saturday 7th July 1934 - "Feed my lambs". [Details provided by Dot Newbold - great grandaughter].

Comments

The former Wasleys Uniting Church held its final service in 2004, and the property was then sold. The earliest Wesleyan services in the area were conducted in a cottage, but it became too small and a Wesleyan Methodist Church building was erected/opened in 1873. This building was also used for some time as a school, and by a Lutheran congregation. It was replaced by the current building, which was erected/opened in 1916. A hall/kindergarten building was erected in 1934. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 20/2/2022.
